Tumbbad director Rahi Anil Barve announces exit from sequel, Sohum Shah wishes him luck
The makers announced that they were working on a sequel for Rahi Anil Barve’s recently reissued folk horror film, Tumbbad. However, Rahi has announced his departure from Tumbbad 2 and wished co-director Adesh Prasad and producer-actor Sohum Shah luck.
What Rahi said
Rahi took to his web-based entertainment handles on Saturday night and gave an explanation that read, “For quite a long time, I have chipped away at this crazy set of three with numerous makers in the middle between. First was the insatiability of a male-centric society (Tumbbad). My own and a lot hazier variant of father, child and the heavenly phantom. The second arrangement with the beginning of women’s rights and holier than blessed satipratha — Pahadpangira. Thirdly, Pakshitirtha will mark the trilogy’s conclusion. That is all I need to say for the time being.”
I wish Sohum and Aadesh the best of luck with Tumbbad II. I have no questions it will be an exceptional achievement. Following the finish of Gulkanda Stories and Raktabhramand before the current year’s over, I Plan to begin creation on Pahadpangira in Walk 2025,” he added.
Sohum, Adesh reply
Sohum commented on Rahi’s X post, “Congrats simple bhai (my sibling) for Gulkanda and Raktabrahmand or jaldi Sai shuru kar de (begin soon) pahadpangira. Maza aayega (it’ll be fun) (grin emoticon).”. Rahi thanked Sohum and said, “I’m generally there for you.”. Gratitude for everything,” Sohum answered, “In like manner (flying kiss emoji).”
Adesh likewise remarked on Rahi’s post, “Thank you, @rahianilbarve. It’s anything but so mysterious that I am continuously rooting for you. My heart tops off with such a lot of adoration, pride and energy to see everything you could ever hope for at long last working out, every one of them so Troublesome procured thus merited.”
The first film’s creative director, Anand Gandhi, recently stated on X that he will not be a part of Tumbbad 2. In the interim, Rahi has previously got his hands full with the forthcoming awfulness satire series Gulkanda Stories and Raktabhramand, delivered and co-composed by Raj and DK.
