Somniloquy: Sleep Talking
Sleep talking, additionally referred to as somniloquy, is the inadvertent speech that someone does when they are sleeping. From sleeping lightly to severe REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, this common condition can take place at any phase of sleep, and the patterns of speech may vary from whole sentences to full meaningless phrases. A sleep-talking session generally lasts only a few moments to a few minutes, and the majority of these episodes are relatively harmless.
