Beware! These 10 Plants That Can Attract Snakes
The Rainy season is on and we can’t love it enough! The monsoon feels like a strong direct bond being initiated between nature and man. The poetic appeal of raindrops and the delightful relish of chai with pakora or hotchpotch in lunch (Khichuri, for Bengali’s sake!) is unbeatable. But also, amidst this happiness, our heart goes to the people for whom heavy rainfall is a looming jeopardy, where lack of resistant habitation troubles their livelihood. We hope that all people will have access to concrete shelter and can enjoy the season just like the rest of us.
But the rainy season also brings caution for general households as the movement of insects and reptiles increases and very often, they too try to take refuge in dry secure places. Their search often leads them to human habitation that finally jeopardizes every species’ safety equally. We also feel anxiety about our probable sudden encounter with venomous creatures, more specifically, Snakes! We all more or less fear these ground-crawling creatures and sometimes this fear reaches an extreme position that leads to Ophidiophobia.
